Updated Policy Statement regarding COVID-19 updated 11.1.2020

As we are not infectious disease experts, nor renowned economists;  we rely on guidance from those authorities. We consider everyone who enters Skellington Manor is part of our family and your health and safety is extremely important to us. We will be implementing the following specific steps to maintain a safe environment for ourselves, our team and our guests.

1. We will continue to monitor Federal, State, County, City and the CDC’s recommendations for the latest information and best practices for reopening; and we will be doing everything possible to follow these guidelines.

2. We have always maintained a rigorous cleaning schedule for our Escape Room Games and will be supplementing this by increasing our time between games to allow more time for enhanced sanitation protocols for the Facility, Game and Props.

3. We have adjusted our schedule to allow for the new “normal”, to avoid group interaction in our common areas and to control the total number of people in the building at any given time.

4. All games will be considered PRIVATE with a four (4) person minimum. All Sales are final. Tickets are NON REFUNDABLE. 

5. We will continue to provide hand sanitizer for our guests.  NOTE** Protective masks are mandatory. Please bring your own face covering.  

6. To help us maintain social distancing between groups….

For everyone’s safety, Masks are REQUIRED to enter any public building in Illinois per state mandate.
a. Players must arrive 15 minutes prior to our GAME TIME for game rules and policies and Covid temperature screening.
b. We will not allow late players to join games in progress.
c. We will NOT accept walk-in bookings.

NOTE * Our Escape Room Games are designed for  player ages 12 and above. Young children will not be allowed in game play. Please call our Game Master if you need additional information. 563.344.9187

7. Per the CDC’s guidelines we encourage all our guests to…
a. Self-isolate if you are experiencing any symptoms or if you have known exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
b. Frequently wash hands or use hand sanitizer.
c. Practice social distancing when around people outside of your group.
d. Wear a face mask in situations where you cannot maintain proper 6ft distancing.

For the protection of our Game Masters and other guests we reserve the right to cancel a booking if any member of the party is exhibiting symptoms. If anyone in your party has a fever or is experiencing any illness symptoms, please call to reschedule your escape game as soon as possible. 

Q. Just what is this Escape Experience?

A.  Skellington Manor Escape Experience currently offers four interactive escape room games.  Your objective = You and your team enter one of our themed room and to look for hidden objects, search for clues and solve puzzles in order to solve your quest. Oh, and you have to beat the clock to win!  It is an adventure, a memory maker and just plain ol’ FUN for anyone!

Q. How to I schedule one of your games?

A. All  Escape Room games are booked through our online reservation system. We do not take any walk in bookings. You must book at least 2 hours in advance of your selected game time.  Click the BOOK NOW button and it will take you to the site. If you are interested in scheduling an escape game off schedule (a time that is not on the online site) please call 563.344.9187 to see if the game time can be reserved. Our Game Master will take your booking info and payment for the off schedule booking.

Q. What should I bring?

A.  Just bring yourself and some friends and we will take care of the rest!   You are welcome to bring purses and smartphones however you will not need to use your phones to solve any of our puzzles. NO pictures and videos please, these are strictly prohibited.  Your belongings will be inside the room with you.

Q. When should I arrive?

A. You must arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled game time. This will ensure you have enough time to fill out our team info sheet and prepared to enter the room.  Once the game starts we are no longer able to get additional players who arrive late into the game.

Q. What happens if I arrive late?

A. Unfortunately once an Escape Experience game has started we are unable to let you into the live game room.   There will be no reschedules or refunds given. If your teams arrives late, time will be deducted from your game play or  you may have to forfeit the game. due to the next scheduled game reservation.  Please remember your team is counting on you to be on time and the next group wants to start their game at their scheduled time. Sorry, no refunds!

Q. How old do you have to be to play?

A. The puzzles and clues are designed for players age 12 or older. Questions, call 563.344.9187

Q. How long will I be there?

A.  You should plan on being at Skellington Manor Escape Experience 15 minutes before your scheduled game and 15 minutes after for questions and pictures.  Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your game time for prep and paperwork.

Q. How many people do I need in my group?

A.  You need a minimum of 4 players to reserve a game slot. The games are designed for 4-8 players, ages 12 and older. 

Q. How much does it cost?

A.    Our 60 minute game is $25.00 per person, our 75 minute game is $30 per person.  ALL ESCAPE ROOM GAMES ARE PRIVATE. ONLY YOUR GROUP WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE GAME PLAY.

Q. Am I really locked inside of the Room?

A.  Well…we would lock you in if we could, but we can’t! Escape Experience has the ability to make it seem as though you are locked in with only one way out but in reality if there was an emergency situation your group would be able to exit the room.  We are watching your game on camera for the safety of all members of your group at all times. Your safety and a fun experience is our top priority!

Q. Is there anything scary about the Escape Room?

A. No, there are no spooks or scares during your Escape Experience.  Just a whole lot of fun!!

Q. I can no longer attend the Escape Experience on the day and time I purchased my ticket. What should I do?

A.  Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for purchased tickets.  Please try to find a friend or family member to be a replacement player for your group.

Q.  What if we can’t figure out one of the puzzles or we feel “stuck” ?

A. We have the ability ( in a fun way ) to help you along by giving you an additional hint on what we feel your group may need help with along the way. We have our Escape Experience game masters watching in on your game to make sure you have the most fun possible during your game play.
